I'm Tarica, a product designer and former startup founder based in Austin, Texas.

I thrive on helping product teams cut through ambiguity to build cohesive product strategies and intuitive digital experiences.

About Me

Whether it's untangling complex problems or aligning cross-functional teams, I help bring clarity to the chaos through research and hands-on facilitation workshops.

Before I landed in tech, I studied communication strategy and interior architecture, and spent a few years designing physical spaces. Eventually, I found my way into digital product design, and realized the same core principles apply. At the end of the day, it’s all about creating experiences that feel intuitive and intentional.

I’ve partnered with teams at Grammarly, AT&T Cybersecurity, and a range of AI startups to solve complex problems and design thoughtful, human-centered products.

When I’m not designing, you’ll find me wrangling my small zoo (a cat, a dog, and four ducks) or learning to figure skate with my daughter, an activity which I find equal parts humbling and delightful.

How I Work

A design process grounded in clarity, rigor, and results

01

Discover & Framing the Problem

I start by deeply understanding both user needs and business goals. Through stakeholder interviews, user research, and systems thinking, I clarify what’s driving the problem, where constraints live, and what success truly looks like. This phase is about alignment—making sure we’re solving the right problem before designing solutions.

02

Research & Experimentation

With a clear problem space, I move quickly into exploration. I prototype early and often, using research, usability testing, and qualitative feedback to pressure-test ideas. This iterative approach keeps assumptions in check and allows insights from real users to directly shape the design direction.

03

Feedback & Iteration

Design is never static. I continuously refine work based on user feedback, data, and team input—balancing usability, accessibility, and brand expression. I focus on creating systems and interactions that are intuitive, scalable, and resilient to change, not just polished screens.

04

Project Delivery

I work closely with engineers and product managers to bring ideas to life with clarity and intention. From detailed specs and UI Kits, to DQA on implementation, I stay engaged through delivery to ensure the final product reflects the original intent and meets real-world constraints. Strong collaboration is how good design becomes great product.

Designing Success

"Her knowledge of design thinking sets her apart from less experienced designers; while her clear presentation of reasoning inspires teammates and elevates those around her.”

- Matthew Oddo, AT&T

"During our workshop, she asked insightful questions, and guided the conversation toward a productive outcome. Her ability to keep the discussion focused and engaging resulted in clear strategic outcomes from the workshop."

- Tony Sanchez, Capital One / Funsize
